T.I., Snoop, Ludacris, Big Sean Hand Out Turkeys

Many rappers have shown their thanks by participating in charitable efforts across the country this Thanksgiving. T.I., Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Big Sean, and MC Hammer all donated time in their respective communities, handing out turkeys to families in need. 

Atlanta-born rappers T.I. and Ludacris gave back to Georgia on Tuesday. T.I helped organize a turkey giveaway at the Wade Walker Family YMCA in Stone Mountain. This is the second time he has helped organize a Thanksgiving giveaway, having passed out over 300 turkeys back in 2011.

Ludacris helped out at the Utopian Academy for the Arts in Riverdale. Part of his Ludacris Foundation Giving Season Program, the hip-hop artist posted several photos of the event to his Instagram with the caption, “What it’s all about. #happythanksgiving #ludacrisfoundation.” 

Big Sean joined his nonprofit Sean Anderson Foundation on Tuesday, handing out turkeys at River Rouge High School in Detroit. He posted a picture of him and his parents working at the charity event, writing, “(Me, Mom n Dad) Love to everybody who came out to our annual Turkey Giveaway yesterday in Detroit! Over a 1,000 turkeys n sides to families who needed it! Thanks to the mayor, @hiphopdetroit, Mike Epps, Terrence Wheeler, etc for coming together n making it huge! Happy Holidays! #Detroit.”

In California, Snoop Dogg and MC Hammer were also spreading some holiday cheer. Snoop gave out turkeys to those in need at the Forum in Inglewood. He shared several photos to his Instagram throughout the event, with updates like “Me n the mayor of Inglewood given bac !!” “Mayor Braxton. N snoop. Passing out turkeys !” “Inglewood on the rise !!” and “Workers. Workn !!”

MC Hammer donated his time at the Oakland Food Pantry on Tuesday, providing over 1,000 families with turkeys. He will also join Walnut Creek Mayor Kristina Lawson and Dublin Mayor Tim Sbranti in starting the Forma Gym Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. Supporting many good causes this holiday season, MC Hammer posted the following to his Twitter yesterday: “Ebola left the News, it didn’t leave West Africa .. While we celebrate #Thanksgiving Were Praying for Gods mercy for #westafrica #Ebola.”
