Pitbull Will Host New Year’s Eve Special on Fox

Recording superstar Pitbull will host the New Year’s Eve television special on Fox. The event will be broadcast live from Miami, the rapper’s hometown. Pitbull said his New Year’s resolution is to make history. In an interview, he stated how the legendary Dick Clark created an amazing platform. Pitbull also mentioned how much he idolized Dick Clark, and how much of an honor it is to compete with him. 

Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution will air from 8pm to 10pm (eastern/pacific), and resume after the local news from 11pm to 12:30am. Special celebrity guests include Fifth Harmony, Fall Out Boy, Becky G, Enrique Iglesias, and The Band Perry. Pitbull will take the stage at midnight to perform his hits.

Pitbull’s New Years Eve special will go up against Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ EveAmerican Idol host, Ryan Seacrest, continues his reign as the host of this event in Times Square. Taylor Swift is the headliner for this year’s show, which airs on ABC. Other celebrity performers include Iggy Azalea, One Direction, Meghan Trainor, Jason Derulo, Bastille, Charli XCX, Ella Henderson, Nick Jonas, Florida Georgia Line, MAGIC!, Gavin DeGraw, Idina Menzel, Elton John, and Lady Antebellum. The show starts at 8pm (eastern/pacific).

Over at NBC, Carson Daly with host New Year’s Eve With Carson Daly. His New Year’s Eve special airs at 10pm (eastern/pacific). Celebrity guests and performers include Lady Gaga, Seth MacFarlane, Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton, and Tony Bennett. The news network, CNN, will air its special at 9pm (eastern/pacific). Celebrities Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin will host the event. Lastly, MTV’s New Year’s Eve 2015, won’t air until 11pm (eastern/pacific). Eye Candy’s Victoria Justice, and The Breakfast Club’s Charlamagne will both host MTV’s special. 

This year, audiences will have a lot of options to choose from, in regards to watching a televised New Year’s Eve special. Those people who wish to fly to either New York or Miami will have to decide rather they prefer a warm or cold climate. The weather in Miami is expected to be about 70 degrees at night, with a small chance of light rain. The weather in New York is expected to reach a low of 23 degrees.
