The Hangout Music Festival has announced the headliners and full lineup for its Gulf Shores event on March 15-17. Foo Fighters, Zac Brown Band, Beck, My Morning Jacket, Skrillex, Paramore, and Foster the People are the headliners scheduled to perform this year. Some of the artists on the lineup list include Umphrey’s McGee, Lupe Fiasco, Phantogram, Cold War Kids, and Major Lazer. Tickets will go on sale in the morning on January 13th.

The Hangout Music Festival started in 2010, and it is the first major music festival held on the beach in the city. Hangout began as a way to bring tourists to Gulf Shores after the BP oil spill in 2010. The festival has just announced a new joint venture with Goldenvoice to produce the event. Goldenvoice is a division of AEG Live, and the company is also the producer of Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. Shaul Zislin, co-founder of Hangout Music Festival, spoke about the new partnership, “From the beginning, the Hangout Music Festival’s main priority has been to create an incredible fan experience.” He continued by adding, “With our recently announced partnership with Goldenvoice, we have found a partner that shares our vision in both fan experience and music programming.” The Hangout festival has had some of music’s most diverse performers in rock, hip hop, and EDM music. Past performers of this event include Jack White, Dave Matthews Band, John Legend, Cee-Lo Green, and Paul Simon.

This is the second year the Foo Fighters have headlined The Hangout Music Festival; the band also headlined the event in 2011. Foo Fighters were described by Pitchfork Media as “a consistent hit machine pumping out working-class rock.” The band has received countless awards, including eleven Grammy Awards. In 2009, the band released their Greatest Hits album which included sixteen tracks. Some of the songs on the album include “Learn to Fly,” “All My Life,” and “Times Like These.” Foo Fighters will be embarking on a major North American Tour this year. The tour starts on July 4, 2015 and will conclude October 7, 2015. Some of the band’s tour stops will feature Royal Blood and Mission of Burma
