Just days after Bjork revealed details of her Vulnicura album, the singer has also announced six show dates in New York City. Bjork announced her planned shows on social media a few days ago, and she plans to begin with a show on March 7 at Carnegie Hall. She will then return to Carnegie Hall on March 14, and on March 25 and 28, Bjork will perform at New York City Center. The last two shows of the tour will also be at the New York City Center, occurring on on April 1 and 4. Bjork left her fans a special message on Facebook, “Yes! New York, here are your Vulnicura tour dates! They are for real!” She also announced producer Arca will be performing Vulnicura with her during her visit to New York City. According to reports, tickets for the general public will be available on January 23, however Bjork fan club members can preorder the tour tickets on January 19.

As reported earlier, Bjork will perform at this year’s Governor’s Ball Music Festival, which is scheduled for June 5 through the 7. The artist lineup for the festival includes Drake, The Black Keys, Deadmau5, Florence + The Machine, Lana Del Rey, and My Morning Jacket. The last time Bjork performed at at the Governors Ball was in 2012, and festival promoters are hoping that she can recreate the magic she brought to the stage three years ago. Last year’s Governor’s Ball featured the return of the Stokes, and this year fans are excited to see the return of Lana Del Ray, Florence + The Machine, and Deadmau5 to the festival after a short hiatus.

As of today, Bjork has headlined seven world tours including her Debut Tour (1993-1994), Post Tour (1995-1997), Homogenic Tour (1997-1999), Vespertine World Tour (2001), Greatest Hits Tour (2003), and the Volta Tour (2007-2008). Her most recent tour, Biophilia Tour (2011-2013), was particularly special because it was a concert film, and Bjork: Biophilia Live was directed and edited by Peter Strickland and Nick Fenton. It also had a theatrical premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival last year. While Bjork fans seem to be excited about the pop singer’s new album and recent New York dates, there are still questions on whether Bjork will embark on another world tour in the near future.
