Rapper Kid Cudi just finished shooting a movie with Zoë Kravitz. The film entitled Vincent-N-Roxxy is about two young lovers who are on the run. Cudi shared the movie news on social media, “Just wrapped a movie w (sic) this special one.” The photo he posted featured the rapper and Zoë Kravitz. The film also stars Emile Hirsch, Zoey Deutch, and Emily Cohen.
Kid Cudi made his acting debut on the television drama series One Tree Hill in 2010. Following his appearance on One Hill Tree, the rapper also starred in the HBO comedy How to Make It in America. Cudi was a regular on the show, until it was cancelled after two seasons. Later in the year, Cudi released a short film called Maniac. It was directed by Shia LaBeouf, and was inspired by the rapper’s song “Maniac.” In the movie, Cudi played a French- speaking serial killer. Since 2010, Cudi would go on to star in a number of films and television shows including Two Night Stand, Tacoma, The Cleveland Show, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Last year, it was revealed that Cudi will make an appearance in the film Entourage, which is based on the popular HBO television series. The comedy is set to be released on June 5, 2015, and it stars the main cast from the television series. Cudi’s first feature film debut was in the movie Need for Speed. Despite the negative reviews, the Touchstone Pictures release grossed over $200 million worldwide.
Cudi has kept himself busy with his budding acting career, but he still has managed to stay true to his music roots. The rapper released Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon in 2014. Cudi didn’t announce the release date of his album, and he shocked his fans by releasing the album without warning. The rapper said the reason behind the surprise release was due to the fact that he was tired of marketing and promoting an album. Kid Cudi is expected to drop his Man on the Moon III album some time this year. The much-anticipated album is a part of Cudi’s “Man On The Moon” series. The first album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day was released in 2009. The sequel, Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager was released the following year.
