Chris Brown‘s Between The Sheets Tour has been unexpectedly postponed. The tour, which also features Trey Songz and Tyga, was scheduled to begin on January 27th. A judge refused to sign off on Brown’s tour, citing the singer must complete his court-ordered community service before he goes on the road. The R&B singer made the disappointing announcement on social media, “I would first like to apologize to all of my fans and people who have been supporters of me and all the music over the years.” Brown continued, “The beginning of the BTS tour has been moved to later dates now. The judge would not sign off on my travel to do the tour until I finish these last 100 hours of community service.”
A couple of weeks ago, a judge provoked Brown’s probation following a nightclub incident in San Jose, California. The incident involved a shooting outside of a nightclub the singer was performing at. Although Chris Brown was not involved in the shooting, he was not allowed to leave Los Angeles without permission. At the time of the judge’s ruling, a report stated Brown had 200 hours of community service hours to complete. According to the singer’s statement today, he has completed half of the 200 hours. It was also reported that the singer was just eight days away from completing his probation term.
Chris Brown’s social media statement yesterday also addressed when the postponed tour dates will be rescheduled, “Once again I’m sorry for the delay. I love yall! We will let yall know the dates that are changed. It’s not cancelled. Just moved around a couple weeks.” Brown called the tour postponement “the most disappointing news I’ve gotten in a while.” The 25-date Between The Sheets Tour was supposed to conclude on March 8th at The Forum in Los Angeles, California. Despite the tour news, the promoters of a concert featuring Chris Brown and Trey Songz announced yesterday that the show will go on as scheduled. Brown and Songz are scheduled to perform at northern New Jersey’s Izod Center on February 21st. The concert will be one of the last shows in the Izod Center, due to the fact that the arena is expected to shut down for at least two years.
