Blake Shelton Will Guest Star in Sandler Film

Blake Shelton will reportedly make a guest appearance in an upcoming Adam Sandler film. The film, Ridiculous 6, is a western spoof also starring Taylor Lautner, Luke Wilson, Whitney Cummings, Terry Crews, and Vanilla Ice. Blake Shelton is expected to play famed gambler and Arizona lawman, Wyatt Earp. Shelton just recently guest starred on Saturday Night Live on January 24th. The country star was the host and musical guest on the live show. One of Shelton’s most talked-about skits was his spoof of ABC’s The Bachelor.

As a musician, Shelton has released nine albums including his self-titled debut in 2001, his second effort The Dreamer, and his third solo album Blake Shelton’s Barn & Grill. Shelton released an album last year entitled Bringing Back the Sunshine. The album debuted at Number 1 on Billboard’s 200 chart, and sold 101,000 copies in its first week. The lead single, “Neon Light” is only a few copies shy of reaching Gold certification. The song soared to the top of the Billboard Country AirPlay chart. Shelton has been nominated for three Grammy Awards and a plethora of Country Music Award nominations. He’s won four Country Music Awards, including an award for Vocal Event of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Gene Weed Special Achievement Award, and Song of the Year. 

Blake Shelton is also a celebrity coach/judge on The Voice. He’s been on the singing competition since its inception in 2011. Shelton’s team has impressively won the competition four out of seven times, including three consecutive winning seasons. The singer spoke to Rolling Stone magazine about working on The Voice, “I love it so much, and I made some of the most important relationships in my life by being a part of that show, with some of the coaches, some of the people who just came to perform, but mostly those who have been on my teams over the years…they’re my family now.” Blake Shelton will be heading on tour on March 19th in Houston, Texas. The tour will conclude on August 8th in Detroit, Michigan. Fans can go to Shelton’s website to purchase tickets. On April 24 through April 26, Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, and Miranda Lambert will headline the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California.
