Music producer Detail “kind of” confirmed he is working with Jay-Z and Beyoncé on their new album. The producer was on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards, when Billboard magazine asked him what projects he is working on this year. “I’m working with a couple of new projects that I don’t want to unveil,” the producer told Billboard magazine. According to Billboard, the producer had a change of heart, and decided to tell the magazine that he is currently working with Jay-Z and Beyoncé. He told Billboard to expect a full-length album, but he would not reveal when the project would be released. “When you think of Jay and Bey together, you think ‘album.’ In my imaginary mind, I will work to say it’s true [regarding whether the project will be released in 2015],” Detail said.
Detail won his first Grammy Award last night for his work on Beyoncé’s “Drunk In Love.” The song won for Best R&B Song. Detail is signed to Young Money Entertainment and Cash Money Records as a music producer. Besides Beyoncé, he has written and produced songs for major recording artists such Lil Wayne, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Wiz Khalifa, Lady Gaga, Brandy, and R. Kelly. His biggest hits include Beyoncé’s “Drunk In Love,” Lil Wayne’s “How to Love,” and Wiz Khalifa’s “We Dem Boyz.”
Jay-Z and Beyoncé have collaborated on a number of songs together on one another’s albums. The married couple’s most successful collaborations are “’03 Bonnie & Clyde,” “Upgrade U,” “Crazy In Love,” “Deja Vu,” and “Drunk In Love.” “Crazy In Love” was the record that first sparked the rumors that the rapper and R&B superstar were dating. The song was featured on Beyoncé’s Dangerously In Love album in 2003, and the record remained at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts for eight consecutive weeks. The couple embarked on their On The Run Tour last year, and traveled to cities in North America and Europe. The tour started on June 25th and concluded on September 13th. The twenty-one date tour grossed over $109 million dollars, making it the fifth highest grossing tour of 2014. The On The Run Tour also aired on HBO last September.
