Hip hop artist Curren$y announced via Twitter that he will be releasing his long awaited LP, Pilot Talk III, on his birthday, April 4th. This will be the third part to his highly appreciated Pilot Talk trilogy. The New Orleans rapper has announced that the project will feature artists such as Wiz Khalifa, Ab Soul, French Montana, and Action Bronson. Spitta has recently released two visuals from the album, “Briefcases” and “Cargo Planes,” produced by Joey Fatts. The album will also feature production from producer and contributor to both Pilot Talk 1 and 2, Ski Beatz. Ski Beatz is also popular for the work he did on Jay-Z’s debut album, Reasonable Doubt, and Camp Lo’s Cooley High.

Curren$y says that the legendary producer worked on Audio Dope 5 which will appear on the project. The album will also feature production from dynamic duo Cool and Dre. “We got like 30 records together,” says Spitta. “I’ve developed such a relationship with them that I can pick the ones for the album and we just find a way to release the rest.” Hopefully, the album will feature production from past collaborators Harry Fraud and the Alchemist, who Spitta collaborated on joint projects Cigarette Boats and Covert Coup with respectively. The last album heard from Spitta was the Stoned Immaculate, which dropped June 5, 2012 and featured artists like Pharrell, Wiz Khalifa, Wale, 2 Chainz, Marsha Ambrosius, Estelle, Big Krit, and more.

Since then, to hold fans over, he has dropped more than 10 free mix tapes such as New Jet City, Priest Andretti and Drive In Theater to name a few. Spitta is releasing this next project for free.”It’s gonna cost,” explained Curren$y. “I put out so much free music. I do it so I do not have to compromise what I do. The fans want to see me in a different light, but I’m always gonna be underground.” Curren$y continues to have a huge fan base in spite of lacking chart-topping albums and singles.

In 2011, Curren$y started the label Jet Life Recordings with artist like Young Roddy, Trademark, LE$, and more who can be expected to contribute the project in some fashion. Curren$y says fans should be receiving more information regarding Pilot Talk III soon.
