Drake recently hosted a rap battle called the King of the Dot’s Blackout 5, and the rapper didn’t hesitate to give his opinion about one of the rappers at the event. During the press conference for the battle, which was sponsored by Drake’s OVO label, the rapper stated that he was looking forward to watching Dumbfoundead at the battle. “For me, a big thing is Dumbfoundead. I watched him for years man. To see him come back and bless us with his presence at this event is insane,” Drake told the media. Dumbfoundead did not disappoint the Canadian rapper, and respectively battled rapper Conceited at the King of the Dot’s Blackout 5. The West Coast rapper made a name for himself after a great number of his rap battles were posted on YouTube. Drake said he watched a lot of Dumdfoundead’s legendary rap battles online. While Drake enjoyed hosting the rap battle in Toronto, the rapper is also celebrating having the Number 1 album in the US.

The rapper’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is sitting on top of the Billboard 200 chart, after selling more than 500,000 copies. Drake’s “Energy” has sold over 63,000 digital downloads, and it is also in the Number 17 position on the Hot Songs Chart. “Preach” is Number 4 on the Rap Digital Songs chart, after selling 30,000 downloads. Drake is the Number 1 artist in the United States, and he is the first hip-hop recording artist to sit at the Number 1 position on the Billboard Artist 100 chart. The chart is measured by tallying the activity on the Billboard Hot 100, Top Album Sales, and the Social 50 chart. The Artist 100 also takes data from album and track sales, streaming and social media, and radio airplay.
