Dierks Bentley performed at the Country Radio Seminar as the 1990s cover band, the Hot Country Knights. While most people had no idea who the band was, they were shocked when Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, Randy Houser, Kip Moore, and Charles Kelley (Lady Antebellum) took the stage. The performance was a part of the fictional wig-wearing talent show hosted by the radio seminar in Nashville, Tennessee. Two of the band members of the Hot Country Knights, Bentley and Lambert, are up for several nominations at The Academy of Country Music Awards

Miranda Lambert leads all nominees with eight ACM nominations. Some of the categories she is nominated for include Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year (Platinum), Single Record of the Year (“Automatic”), Video of the Year (“Somethin’ Bad” with Carrie Underwood), and Vocal Event of the Year (“Somethin’ Bad” with Carrie Underwood). Bentley earned seven ACM nominations including Album of The Year (Riser), Male Vocalist of the Year, Single Record of the Year (“Drunk On A Plane”), and Video of the Year (“Drunk On A Plane”). The Academy of Country Music Awards will be hosted by Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, it will air on CBS on April 19th.

Dierks Bentley’s self-titled debut sold over one million copies in 2003. Two years later, the country star released his second album, Modern Day Drifter. Just like his debut album, Modern Day Drifter also went platinum. Bentley has had eighteen singles make it to the country music charts, and twelve of those songs reached the Number 1 position. Some of his biggest hits include “Settle for a Slowdown,” “Every Mile a Memory,” “I Hold On,” and “Drunk on a Plane.” Bentley has also been named as one of the headliners of Chicago’s first major country music festival.

The Windy City LakeShake festival will take place on June 19th through June 21st, and it will also be headlined by Brad Paisley and Florida Georgia Line. Some of the other country artists who are set to perform at the festival include Randy Houser, Easton Corbin, Frankie Ballard, Mickey Guyton, and Clare Dunn. The Windy City LakeShake festival will have two stages, and one of the stages will feature upcoming country music artists.

FDRMX Eyes: Swiss band G.O.A.T. is comprised of five members. The band has recently premiered their music video for “Dead Thing.”
