Bruno Mars’ Doo-Wops & Hooligans and Taylor Swift’s Fearless are two albums that have also reached the 200-mark milestone. Teenage Dream was released in 2010, and it is approaching three million copies sold. Six songs were dropped from the album, and five of them went to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Perry is the first female recording artist to have five singles from one album reach Number 1 on the charts. The five Number 1 singles include “Firework,” “E.T.,” “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),” “Teenage Dream,” and “California Gurls.”

The pop singer performed “California Gurls” and “Firework” during her record-breaking Super Bowl halftime performance. The halftime show brought in over 118 million viewers. The performance also helped the singles’ downloads and music streams gain significant increases. Katy Perry embarked on her California Dreams tour in 2011, which was in support of the Teenage Dream project. She traveled to North America, South America, Europe, and more.
