Nirvana Producer Jack Endino and Dave Grohl have teamed up again to record a new album. This is not another Foo Fighters album, but the sophomore album from Grohl’s buddies in the New Jersey hard rock band, the Black Clouds. Grohl has had his eye on the band for some time, and has been seen on his Tumblr account hanging out with them, but now they have partnered up in his 606 Studio in LA, recording their new album, which will be tentatively titledAfter All.

With Endino manning the controls, the band is in good hands as he recorded Nirvana’s first album Bleach, which eventually went platinum after Nevermind dominated the 90s. This is not the only reason Endino is referred to as the god father of grunge, as he also played guitar for the band Skin Yard, which was proved to also serve as the training ground for drummerMatt Cameron who went on to play for both Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. Endino currently manages the Sound House in Seattle, where he will be mixing After All once it’s completed.
While Endino has also produced the who’s who of the Seattle scene after manning the helm on albums by the Screaming Trees, L7, and TAD, he has also worked with newer retro thrash bands like High on Fire and Toxic Holocaust. This is not the first time Endino has crossed paths with the Black Clouds; he also mixed and mastered the Black Clouds first album, Wishing Well. The Black Clouds who are spear-heading a grunge revival of sorts are made of guitarist/vocalist Dan Matthews, guitarist Neil Hayes, bassist Gary Moses and drummerCory King.

The Black Clouds will once again brush shoulders with grunge royalty on July 12th when they play with Mudhoney at the Bell House, in Brooklyn, New York. The band with also take a break from recording to hit the SXSW Festival playing Super Happy Fun Land in Houston on March 18th and the Heart of Texas Rock Fest on March 21st in Austin. The band has already posted a preview of the work being done at 606, by putting the first single “Photograph” up on Soundcloud.

FDRMX Eyes: India’s The Other People have recently premiered their music video entitled “So Damn Beautiful.” “So Damn Beautiful” addresses the empowerment of women, encouraging them to take a stand and be self-confident.
