ScHoolboy Q was named “Principal For the Day” at Maritime Industries Academy in Baltimore (MD). The school participated in the Get Schooled National Attendance Challenge, for which the students raised their attendance goal by ten percent this semester. The students’ reward was a guest appearance by rapper ScHoolboy Q. “Keep working don’t listen to nobody if you believe in yourself. If plan A don’t work, work on another plan A,” the rapper told the students during his interview with Q92’s Johnny Doswell.

ScHoolboy Q also took this opportunity to encourage the students who were aspiring to be in the music business. “I see a lot more creativity. It’s a lot more rappers so a lot of good stuff gets overlooked. The bar keeps being pushed higher and higher,” the rapper stated. ScHoolboy Q posted several pictures on Instagram, detailing his time at Maritime Industries Academy. One of his photos featured the caption, “Had a great time with @GetSchooled and the students of Maritime Industries Academy in Baltimore today! Keep up the good work.” Ludacris and Chance the Rapper have also participated in the Get Schooled program, and they visited Alcott College Prep in Chicago.
