Justin Timberlake will receive the Innovator Award at the iHeart Radio Music Awards. “Justin is one of the most dynamic artists of our lifetime. He is a visionary whose influence on pop culture starts with brilliant music and stretches well beyond,” Tom Poleman, iHeartMedia president of national programming, stated. Pharrell Williams received last year’s Innovator Award at the 2014 iHeart Radio ceremony. The iHeart awards show will broadcast live on NBC at 8pm (Eastern standard time) on March 29th.

The nominees for this year’s show include Beyoncé, Sam Smith, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Luke Bryan, One Direction, and more. Rapper Iggy Azalea and Sam Smith lead all artists with five nominations. Azalea and Smith are both up for the Best New Artist and Artist of the Year award. Ariana Grande, Luke Bryan, and Taylor Swift are the other nominees in the Artist of the Year category.

Fans will be able to choose the winner of three categories this year, which include Best Fan Army, Best Lyrics, and the Renegade Award. Some of the artists in the Best Fan Army include Beyoncé‘s “Bey Hive,” One Direction‘s “Directioners,” and Taylor Swift‘s “Swifties.” A few songs that are nominated for the Best Lyrics award include John Legend‘s “All of Me,” OneRepublic‘s “Counting Stars,” and Ed Sheeran‘s “Thinking Out Loud.” The Renegade Award represents the artist who “defies convention and breaks boundaries.” Iggy Azalea, Meghan Trainor, Brantley Gilbert, Charli XCX, and Hozier are all nominated for the Renegade Award.

This year’s award show will feature performances by Kelly Clarkson, Rihanna, Jason Aldean, Sam Smith, Madonna, Iggy Azalea, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Derulo, Nate Ruess, and Meghan Trainor. Singer-actor Jamie Foxx will host this year’s event. Foxx just dropped two new singles last week. “You Changed Me” featuring Chris Brown was produced by Boi-1da and Vinylz. The other single, “Pretty Young Thing” was produced by DJ Mustard. While “You Changed Me” will be on Foxx’s upcoming album, the singer has not revealed if “Pretty Young Thing” will make the album cut. The R&B singer’s 2015 project will be his fifth studio album release. His previous albums include Peep This, Unpredictable, Intuition, and Best Night of My Life.
