Jessie J Cancels Remaining Australia Tour Dates

Jessie J has canceled the last three dates on her Australian tour citing an illness. The pop singer’s shows in Melbourne March 17th, Adelaide on March 18th, and the show in Perth on March 20th, have been axed. “Due to sudden illness I have unfortunately been medically advised to cancel my three remaining shows in Australia, so I can give myself time to rest and get better,” Jessie J stated. Her statement continued,”I am extremely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause my fans in Melbourne, Perth, and Adelaide. If I could magic myself better and be there I would. I can’t wait to perform for you all in the future. Thank you for your support.” 

The pop singer will return to Australia to join the panel of coaches on The Voice some time this year. The Channel Nine show is the Australian version of NBC’s The Voice. The other coaches on the show include Ricky Martin, Benji and Joel Madden, and Delta Goodrem. There has not been an announcement made in regards to Jessie J rescheduling her canceled dates. The singer’s next show is in New York on April 29th, followed by a performance on May 6th in Montreal. 

Jessie J has released three studio albums including Who You Are, Alive, and Sweet Talker. Her debut album, Who You Are, featured production from Dr. Luke. Seven singles were dropped from the project including “Do It Like a Dude,” “Price Tag,” and “Nobody’s Perfect.” Jessie J’s sophomore album, Alive, debuted at Number 3 on the UK Albums chart. Big Sean, Brandy, Becky G, and more made guest appearances on the album. The pop-R&B infused album released three songs including “Wild,” “It’s My Party,” and “Thunder.” “Wild” featuring Big Sean and Dizzee Rascal peaked at Number 5 on the UK Singles chart. 

Jessie J’s latest effort Sweet Talker featured the big hit “Bang Bang” with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. The song reached Number 1 on the charts in Australia, Europe, United Kingdom, and Scotland. “Bang Bang” also peaked at Number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. To date, “Bang Bang” is Jessie J’s highest peaking song on the Billboard Hot 100. The chart-topping song has sold over four million copies in the US.
