Fun. frontman Nate Ruess will make an appearance on NBC’s The Voice as a key advisor. According to Buzzfeed, the singer will appear on three episodes of The Voice, beginning on March 23rd. “I’m super excited and always happy to lend whatever knowledge I have to other vocalists. Plus, I’ve heard nothing but great things about Blake, Pharrell, Christina, and the guy with the tattoos [Adam Levine],” Ruess told Buzzfeed in an email.

Ruess is currently on a break from his fun. bandmates, but the singer is working in the studio on his solo music. The singer recorded a song entitled “Nothing Without Love,” which was intended to be on fun.’s next studio album. Ruess revealed to Rolling Stone magazine why he decided to take a break from his band, and embark on a solo career. A few months after the song was recorded, Ruess said he suddenly had a change of heart. “It felt so believable. I was saying what I was thinking. This is the first time I’ve been comfortable in my own skin, and it’s with someone who’s comfortable in their own skin,” the singer told Rolling Stone magazine. He added,”The reason I’m making a solo album is because it’s the first time.” “Nothing Without Love,” which was released last month, will be a song featured on Ruess’ new solo project.

When Ruess made the announcement that he would be going solo, most fun. fans were shocked. The band’s last project, Some Nights, sold over a million copies in the US. The album’s lead single “We Are Young” sold over six million digital downloads, and it won a Grammy Award for Song of the Year. Fun. also won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. “It would have been very easy for us to jump back in the studio and capitalize on our momentum, but making records and touring when it’s good for business means nothing to us,” the band’s statement read. The statement continued,”We make records and tour when we are inspired to.” There is no timetable for when fun. plans to reunite. Ruess is not the only member of fun. to release a solo album. Fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff debuted his solo project, Strange Desire, last year.
