Jason Derulo will premiere his new music video “Want to Want Me” on the dating app Tinder. Why would Derulo choose a dating app to release a music video? Derulo thinks putting the video on Tinder is the perfect platform, and its also a unique way to showcase his video to the world.

The singer believes that dating apps are the future, and he wants to be a part of it. “Social media and dating together is the new wave. It is the source of one half of the relationship in 2015, and I’m all about being part of the new wave,” Derulo told Us Weekly magazine. He added,”A lot of my friends and family members are on Tinder.”

Although Derulo is single, he does not have a profile on the Tinder app. “I would [join Tinder] if it wasn’t so unpredictable. I’d probably meet some huge fans, but otherwise it’s not a safe bet,” the singer told Us Weekly. Derulo’s broke up with Jordin Sparks, after a three-year relationship, and the singer has been going on dates. Derulo’s family members and friends have been helping him with his dating game. “I have my wingmen, my little cousins. They help me sift through the weirdos and find someone cool out of all the people I meet at clubs or events.” he told the magazine.

The music video for the new single will premiere on Tinder March 23rd. Derulo’s “Want to Want Me” is Number 45 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It is also Number 19 on the Digital Songs chart, after selling more than 50,000 digital copies. The single will be featured on his upcoming album, which is expected to be released some time this year. To date, the R&B singer has dropped four studio albums includingJason Derulo, Future History, Tattoos, and Talk Dirty. His self-titled debut features the Number 1 song “Whatcha Say,” which was produced by super producer J.R. Rotem (Britney Spears, Rihanna, and Usher).

Derulo’s Talk Dirty album was released last year. The project sold over 40,000 copies in its first week, and it entered the Billboard 200 Albums chart at Number 4. Talk Dirty featured guest appearances from 2 Chainz, Snoop Dogg, Tyga, Jordin Sparks, and Kid Ink. The most successful single from the album, “Talk Dirty” (featuring 2 Chainz), peaked at Number 1 on the singles chart in the US, UK, Scotland, Israel, Germany, Europe, Belgium, and Australia. “Talk Dirty” has sold over four million digital copies.

FDRMX Eyes: Mark T. Smith of Explosions in the Sky and Matthew Cooper of Eluvium form the rock project Inventions. Inventions has released a new music video, which is animated by Dan W Jacobs and is called “Springworlds.”
