Jessie J Will Host MTV Movie Awards Pre-Show

Jessie J will host the MTV Movie Awards live pre-show on April 12th, according to Billboard magazine. Jessie J, along with Josh Horowitz, will interview celebrities on the red carpet. During the pre-show, fans will get an exclusive preview of the movie Paper Towns. The Best Hero award will be announced and received on the red carpet this year as well. The MTV pre-show will air at 7:30 pm (Eastern standard time), and the 2015 MTV Movie Awards will begin at 8:00 pm ET. Comedian Amy Schumer will host the awards show this year, which will be held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. 

Last week, Jessie J was forced to cancel the last three dates on her Australian tour because of an illness. The singer revealed on social media that she has a heart condition, and she needed rest. Jessie J wrote that she’s been dealing with her heart problem her whole life. Despite her heart condition, the pop singer is continuing her hectic work schedule. 

Sometime this year, Jessie J will make her return as a coach on Australia’s The Voice. The exact launch date has not been announced yet, but Benji and Joel Madden, Delta Goodrem, and Ricky Martin will be on the panel of coaches. Next month, the pop singer is scheduled to perform in New York on April 29th. Jessie J also has a show scheduled in Montreal on May 6th.

Jessie J has released three studio albums including Who You Are, Alive, and Sweet Talker. Her latest project Sweet Talker featured the platinum-selling “Bang Bang” (with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj). The record peaked at Number 1 on four music charts including the Australia Urban chart, Euro Digital Songs chart, Official Charts Company in Scotland, and the UK Singles chart.

“Bang Bang” also reached Number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Bang Bang” is presently Jessie J’s highest peaking song on the Billboard Hot 100. The Number 1 record has over four million copies in the US. 

Jessie J’s second album, Alive, entered the UK Albums chart at Number 3. The album produced three songs including “Wild,” “It’s My Party,” and “Thunder.” “Wild” featuring Big Sean and Dizzee Rascal peaked at Number 5 on the UK Singles chart. Besides Big Sean and Dizzee Rascal, Alive also featured guest appearances from Becky G and R&B singer Brandy. 

FDRMX Eyes: Russian musicians Boris and Bratya Grim make up the electronic project Lirrika. Lirrika has released their music video entitled “I’d Rather Be Falling.”
