The Black Keys‘ scheduled shows in Australia, New Zealand, and Japan have been canceled. Drummer Patrick Carney underwent shoulder surgery earlier this year, and now he is dealing with a post-operative infection. Carney was involved in a surfing incident and injured his shoulder, which resulted in the Black Keys’ cancellation of their European tour.

Now that Carney is still suffering from his shoulder injury, the band’s Turn Blue World Tour will be postponed until later next month. “We are very sorry to have to cancel out upcoming performances through April 23rd. We thank all of our fans for their ongoing support and we look forward to getting back on the road as soon as possible,” the Black Keys released in a statement.

The Asia-Pacific tour cancellation means the band will not be able to perform at the Byron Bay Bluesfest. The Black Keys are the second headliners to cancel their appearance at the Byron Bay Bluesfest. Last month, Lenny Kravitz canceled his performance at the festival, due to scheduling conflicts. The Alabama Shakes will replace the Black Keys on the Bluesfest stage. A replacement for Kravitz still has not been named. The Black Keys are expected to perform at the Primavera Sound Festival on May 28th in Barcelona, Spain.

The Black Keys consists of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney. The Rock duo have dropped eight studio albums including The Big Come Up, Thickfreakness, Rubber Factory, Magic Potion, Attack & Release, Brothers, El Camino, and Turn Blue. Their latest project, Turn Blue, features production from Danger Mouse (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gnarls Barkley, and Danger Doom).

The album reached the top of the charts on the US Billboard 200, the Canadian Albums, and the Australian Albums chart. “Fever,” “Turn Blue,” “Bullet in the Brain,” “Gotta Get Away,” and “Weight of Love” were all released from the Number 1 album. “Fever” topped the US Rock Airplay, Adult Alternative Songs, Alternative Songs, and Canada Rock charts. The song was also nominated for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance at this year’s Grammy Awards. The Black Keys’ single “Weight of Love” was dropped earlier this year.

FDRMX Eyes: From New Zealand comes a young and aspiring hip-hop artist named Larz Randa. Randa has recently released a music video entitled “Rangers.”
