Good news for Ariana Grande fans across North America; the pop starlet has made the decision to extend her Honeymoon Tour, adding forty tour dates through the summer. The pop musician, who accepted the Best Collaboration iHeartRadio Music Award for her hit single “Bang Bang” with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj from behind the scenes of a current show on the tour, has decided to extend her happily ever after with a slew of new tour dates. The tour is in support of her 2014 release My Everything.
Grande will kick off the new leg on July 16th in Tampa, Florida. She’ll be making stops in Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New York, Ontario, Las Vegas, and several other states before coming to a close with a performance on October 15th in El Paso, Texas. Joining Grande on this new leg of the tour will be Prince Royce. The artist was introduced to American popular music with his first English-language single “Stuck On A Feeling,” which featured a verse from Snoop Dogg. The Honeymoon Tour has been produced and promoted by Live Nation, and tickets for the new dates will be available on April 4 at the company’s official website.
Ariana Grande embarked on the current leg of her Honeymoon Tour on February 25th, kicking off the event in Independence, Missouri. Cashmere Cat and Rixton are supporting the concert as opening acts through the first leg of American and Canadian tour dates, and Justin Bieber joined Grande onstage for several songs at her March 28th show in Miami, Florida. The two popstars performed several songs together during Grande’s set, with Bieber taking over The Weeknd’s role in Grande’s “Love Me Harder.” They also performed Bieber’s “As Long As You Love Me” and “All That Matters.”
After a short break, Grande is taking her Honeymoon Tour on a European leg, kicking off in Paris with a set of shows on May 14th and 15th. After kicking off in Paris, the concert will make stops in several other countries, including Germany, Sweden, Italy, England, and Scotland. Grande will bring the European leg to a close on June 16th in Barcelona.
Thus far, Grande’s Honeymoon Tour has received mixed to positive reviews. Many critics have praised Grande’s energy and commitment to filling out her stadium show with the spectacles associated with any pop shows; however, some have questioned whether the musician is ready for such a large show with such a small discography. Either way, it seems as though Ariana Grande is doing something right with the tour.
