James Bay Album Is Number One, Adds Tour Dates

James Bay has the Number 1 project on the UK Albums chart. Chaos and the Calm entered the top of the charts, after selling 64,000 copies in its first week. Chaos and the Calm also debuted at Number 1 in Ireland, and it reached the Top 10 in Australia (Number 3), Denmark (Number 5), and New Zealand (Number 6). The album features twelve tracks including “Craving,” “Let It Go,” “If You Ever Want to Be in Love,” and the single, “Hold Back the River.” “Hold Back the River” reached Number 1 on the singles chart in Ireland, and it reached Number 2 on the chart in the UK. The song also impacted the singles chart in the US, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, and Australia. 

In support of his new album, James Bay added more dates to his tour. Next month, Bay will perform at the Pyramids Centre in Portsmouth (UK) on the 7th. His other UK dates in April include performances at Shepard’s Bush Empire in London (8th and 9th), Albert Hall in Manchester (11th), Newcastle University Students Union in Newcastle Upon Tyne (12th), O2 ABC in Glasgow (14th), The Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh (15th), The Leadmill in Sheffield (16th), The Institute in Digbeth (18th), O2 Academy Oxford (19th), and the 02 Academy Bristol (20th). The last week in April, Bay will embark on his North America leg, which include dates in Toronto (ON), New York (NY), and Boston (MA). From May 1st through the 16th, the rocker will travel to California, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Colorado, Illinois, Pennsylvania, 

During his tour, Bay will make stops at a few music festivals including No Tomorrow Festival, Isle of Wright Festival, Barn on the Farm, NOS Alive, T in the Park, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival, Squamish Valley Music Festival, and Lollapalooza Berlin. Bay’s added dates in September and October will launch on September 23, and it will conclude on October 14th. In September, he will perform at O2 Apollo in Manchester (23rd), O2 Academy in Glasgow (24th), O2 Academy in Newcastle (27th), O2 Academy in Leeds (28th), and the Brixton O2 Academy in London (30th). Bay’s added tour dates in October will began at the Corn Exchange in Cambridge (4th). His remaining shows will take place at the Brighton Dome (5th), Solent Hall in Bournemouth (6th), O2 Academy in Birmingham (8th), Oasis in Swindon (9th), Ulster Hall in Belfast (11th), and the Olympia in Dublin, Ireland (14th).
