Fox’s Chris Wallace appeared on The Mike Gallagher Show a couple of days ago, but Wallace didn’t exit the interview before making a comment regarding Kelly Clarkson‘s weight. Reports claim Gallagher initiated the subject about Clarkson’s weight by asking if Wallace had seen the pop singer recently. “You do a lot of fat shaming. That’s the news phase now, fat shaming. Have you seen Kelly Clarkson? You know the singer? Holy cow, did she blow up,” Gallagher reportedly stated.

Wallace first commented that Clarkson had a lovely voice, but then he stated that the singer could “stay off the deep dish pizza for a little while.” Wallace may have thought his comment was funny, but tons of people, including his fellow Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren, didn’t find the humor in his comment. “This ‘guy snickering’ about her weight is obnoxious. He should apologize,” Van Susteren wrote on her blog.

Kelly Clarkson hasn’t commented on Gallagher or Wallace’s comments, but she addressed British journalist Katie Hopkins when she criticized the singer’s weight last month. “What happened to Kelly Clarkson? Did she eat all of her backing singers,” Hopkins tweeted. Clarkson took the high road and stated that she is “awesome,” no matter how much she weighs. The pop singer also stated that Hopkins’ criticism didn’t bother her, and she’s happy and confident. “Since having a family, I don’t seek out any other acceptance,” Clarkson reiterated.

Kelly Clarkson has released seven studio albums, all of which have accumulated more than 25 million album sales. The pop singer’s “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” is one of the best-selling singles of all time, with over five million copies sold. Her latest album Piece By Piece was released two months ago, and it entered the top of the Billboard 200 Albums chart. The project sold close to 100,000 copies in its first week, and it was led by the single “Heartbeat Song.”

Kelly Clarkson’s Piece By Piece Tour will launch on July 11th in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The 47-date North America tour includes stops in New York, Ohio, Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona, Texas, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Canada, Nevada, Texas, and more. The tour will wrap on October 17th in Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada).
