The Amy Winehouse documentary is getting a special screening at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. A representative from Universal Music Group will be at the screening, which will begin at midnight. The documentary is scheduled to be released in the UK on July 3rd. The film first debuted during Grammy Weekend earlier this year.

Universal Music’s UK CEO David Joseph called the documentary a complicated and tender account of the pop singer’s music career and life. “It tackles lots of things about family and media, fame, and addiction,” Joseph told Billboard magazine. Winehouse struggled with drug and alcohol addiction throughout her music career. In 2011, the singer died from accidental alcohol poisoning. The Asif Kapadia-directed film’s trailer premiered online earlier this month. The trailer showed a glimpse of Winehouse speaking about her projected music career. The singer stated that she didn’t think she would be famous, and she doubted she would be able to handle fame without going crazy.

Winehouse would release two projects during her eight-year music career including Frank and Back to Black. Her debut album Frank received critical acclaim in the UK, and it featured the songs “Stronger Than Me,” “Take the Box,” “You Sent Me Flying,” and “F*** Me Pumps.” The project reached Number 33 on the Billboard 200, and Number 33 on the UK Albums chart. Frank also impacted the charts in Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, New Zealand, Mexico, Poland, Italy, Ireland, Hungary, Greece, France, Denmark, Canada, and Australia.

The pop singer’s sophomore project Back to Black was dropped nine years ago. The album peaked at Number 1 on the UK Albums chart. The album also topped the charts in Germany, France, Europe, and Denmark. Back to Black produced five hit singles that impacted music charts all over the world. “Rehab,” “You Know I’m No Good,” “Back to Black,” “Tears Dry on Their Own,” and “Love is a Losing Game” were all released from the project. Back to Black has sold over 20 million copies worldwide. The album sold over three million copies in the UK, and it has become the second best-selling album in the UK. In 2008, Winehouse won five Grammy Awards including Best New Artist, Record of the Year (“Rehab”), Best Female Pop Vocal Performance (“Rehab”), Song of the Year (“Rehab”), and Best Pop Vocal Album (Back to Black).

FDRMX Eyes: De La Romance is a cinematic pop outfit from France. The electro-pop band has released a new music video for the song “Unfree.”
