Jill Scott Announces Dates for Summer Tour



Jill Scott is heading out on a 25-date tour this summer. The R&B singer’s tour will launch on July 13th in Pittsburgh (PA) at Heinz Hall. “Fans have patiently waited four years for new music. When they hear Jill perform live this year, it’ll be worth the wait,” Scott’s business partner Shawn Gee stated. Tickets for Scott’s summer tour will go on sale May 15th.

Along with her stop in Pittsburgh, Scott’s North America tour will make stops in Newark (NJ) on July 15th, Wallingford (CT) on July 16th, Baltimore (MD) on July 18th, Bethlehem (PA) on July 19th, Brooklyn (NY) on July 22nd, Cincinnati (OH) on July 25th, Atlantic City on July 26th, Vienna (VA) on July 29th, Durham (NC) on July 30th, Birmingham (AL) on August 1st, Atlanta (GA) on August 2nd, Memphis (TN) on August 4th, Nashville (TN) on August 5th, Hollywood (FL) on August 8th, St. Petersburg (FL) on August 9th, Jackson (MS) on August 11th, Houston (TX) on August 12th, Grand Prairie (TX) on August 14th, Austin (TX) on August 15th, Los Angeles on August 19th, Oakland (CA) onAugust 22nd, Saratoga (CA) on August 23rd, San Diego on August 25th, and Phoenix (AZ) on August 28th.

Scott released her “Fools Gold” single today, and it is available through iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, and several other digital markets. The single can also be heard on iHeartRadio’s urban stations. In March, the R&B singer dropped her single entitled “You Don’t Know,” which is also scheduled to appear on Scott’s upcoming album. The album title and release date have not been revealed yet, but the new project is expected to be dropped some time this year.

The singer has released four studio albums including Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1, Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2, The Real Thing: Words and Sounds Vol. 3, and The Light of the Sun. Her latest project entitled The Light of the Sun was dropped four years ago. The album reached Number 1 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, and it also went to Number 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The Light of the Sun features the singles “So in Love,” “So Gone (What My Mind Says),” and “Blessed.”
