The 2015 CMT Awards will broadcast live from Nashville (TN) on June 10th at 8pm (Eastern standard time). Carrie Underwood who leads all artists with five nominations, has been named as one of the performers at the awards show. Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, and Kenny Chesney have also been named as performers. Underwood’s five nominations include two Video of the Year nods for “Somethin’ Bad with Miranda Lambert and “Something in the Water,” two Female Video of the Year nods for “Little Toy Guns” and “Something in the Water,” and Collaborative Video of the Year for “Somethin’ Bad.”
The rest of the musicians in the Collaborative Video of the Year category are “Meanwhile Back at Mama’s (Tim McGraw featuring Faith Hill), “Wild Child” (Kenny Chesney with Grace Potter), “His Hands” (Jennifer Nettles featuring Brandy Clark), “Small Town Throwdown” (Brantley Gilbert featuring Justin Moore and Thomas Rhett), and “Lonely Tonight” (Blake Shelton featuring Ashley Monroe). Besides Underwood, the musicians in the Female Video of the Year category are “Little Red Wagon” (Miranda Lambert), “Going Out Like That” (Reba McEntire), “The Way I’m Livin'” (Lee Ann Womack), and “God Made Girls” (RaeLynn).
Florida Georgia Line are also nominated twice in one category. The rockers have two nominations in the Duo Video of the Year category for “Dirt” and “Sun Daze.” The other musicians up for Duo of the Year include “Later On” (The Swon Brothers), “Girl in a Country Song” (Maddie & Tae), “Rum” (Brothers Osbourne), and “Look at You” (Big & Rich). Florida Georgia Line are also nominated for Video of the Year for “Dirt,” for which they will be competing against Underwood, “Drunk on a Plane” (Dierks Bentley), “Homegrown Honey” (Darius Rucker), “Burnin’ It Down” (Jason Aldean), “American Kids” (Kenny Chesney), “Bartender” (Lady Antebellum), “I Don’t Dance” (Lee Brice), “Play It Again” (Luke Bryan), “Girl in a Country Song” (Maddie & Tae), and “Leave the Night On” (Sam Hunt).
The Group Video of the Year category includes “All Alright” (Zac Brown Band), “Chainsaw” (The Band Perry), “Day Drinking” (Little Big Town), “Bartender” (Lady Antebellum), “Dust” (Eli Young Band), and “Smoke” (A Thousand Horses).
