Slipknot to Go on Hiatus, Following 2015 Tour

Slipknot announced they will go on hiatus, after the conclusion of their tour. “We are gonna finish touring and then we’re gonna take a couple of years off again to, kind of, let everything chill. Everyone is gonna do their own thing and then in a couple of years, we’ll get back together and see what happens again,” band member Corey Taylor stated. Taylor has his sights set on his new project with Stone Sour, which is scheduled to be released some time next year.

Slipknot’s remaining tour dates before they go on hiatus include July 24th in West Palm Beach (FL); July 25th in Tampa (FL); July 26th in Atlanta (GA);July 28th in Clarkston (MI); July 29th in Darien Center (NY); July 31st in Saratoga Springs (NY); August 1st in Wantagh (NY); August 2nd in Hartford (CT); August 4th in Mansfield (MA); August 5th in Holmdel (NJ); August 6th in Burgettstown (PA); August 8th in Toronto (ON); August 9th in Quebec City (QC); August 11th in Washington (DC); August 12th in Virginia Beach (VA); August 14th in Noblesville (IN); August 15th in Tinley Park (IL); August 16thin Maryland Heights (MO); August 19th in Denver (CO); August 21st in Salt Lake City (UT); August 23rd in Auburn (WA); August 24th in Vancouver (BC); August 26th in Concord (CA); August 28th in Las Vegas (NV); August 29th in Phoenix (AZ); August 30th in Albuquerque (NM); September 2nd in Austin (TX); September 4th in Houston (TX);  September 5th in Dallas (TX); September 25th in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil); September 27th in São Paulo (Brazil); and September 30th in Santiago (Chile).

Slipknot has released five studio albums including Slipknot, Iowa, Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses), All Hope Is Gone, and .5: The Gray Chapter. The metal band’s All Hope Is Gone album peaked at Number 1 on the US Billboard 200, and it also reached the top of the charts in Switzerland, New Zealand, Finland, Europe, Canada, and Australia. Five singles were dropped from the project including “All Hope Is Gone,” “Psychosocial,” “Dead Memories,” “Sulfur,” and “Snuff.” All Hope Is Gone was certified platinum, after selling over one million copies in the US.
