Blake Shelton‘s “Sangria” is at the Number 1 position on the Country Airplay chart. The song has become the singer’s 15th consecutive chart-topper on the Country Airplay chart. Shelton’s “Lonely Tonight” featuring Ashley Monroe was his fourteenth Number 1 song. With the success of “Sangria,” the country singer now has 20 Number 1 singles. Shelton’s consecutive number one streak dates all the way back to 2010, when he topped the singles charts with “Hillbilly Bone” featuring Trace Adkins. “Simply put, Blake keeps delivering the hits. He continues to reinvent himself and release music that resonates deeply with fans,” Warner Bros’ Kristen Williams stated.
Shelton has released nine albums including his self-titled debut in 2001, The Dreamer(2003), Blake Shelton’s Barn & Grill (2004), Pure BS (2007), Startin’ Fires (2008), Red River Blue (2011), Cheers, It’s Christmas (2012), and Based on a True Story (2014). His latest effort, Based on a True Story, peaked at Number 1 on the Billboard 200 and the Top Country Albums chart. The project produced three singles including “Neon Light,” “Lonely Tonight,” and “Sangria.” Blake Shelton’s upcoming tour dates include July 3rd in Fairlea (West Virginia); July 10th in Calgary (Canada); July 11th in Shaunavon (Canada); July 17th in Cheyenne (Wyoming); July 24th in Eau Claire (Wisconsin); July 25th in Twin Lakes (Wisconsin); July 31st in Sixes (Oregon); August 1st in Mountain Home (Idaho); and August 8th in Detroit Lakes (Minnesota).
Forbes just released its list of the world’s 100 Top-Earning celebrities. Power couple Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert tied at Number 95 with an earning of $28.5 million. They are one of only three couples who both made the Celebrity 100. Boxer Floyd Mayweather topped the list with $300 million, boxer Manny Pacquiao was ranked Number 2 with $160 million, and Katy Perry (the highest paid artist this year) came in at Number 3 with $135 million. Some of the other artists on the list includes One Direction at Number 4 with $130 million, Garth Brooks at Number 6 with $90 million, Taylor Swift at Number 8 with $80 million, The Eagles at Number 14 with $73.5 million, Justin Timberlake at Number 19 at $63.5 million, and Sean “P. Diddy” Combs at Number 21 with $60 million.
