We already brought you part one of our list of 15 things you probably did not know about Carrie Underwood, and now we’re back with part two! Check out eight more fascinating facts about the singer and musician that you definitely (probably) did not know below. You might be surprised by what you find out!

Number Eight: She Is a Pageant Girl. But does this really come as much of a surprise? Underwood is extremely beautiful, and she actually came in as runner-up for Miss NSU in 2004.

Number Seven: Simon Cowell Predicted Her Success. When Underwood performed “Alone” – the 1980s hit made famous by Heart – as part of the top 11 finalists’ performance, Simon Cowell predicted that she would both win American Idol and outsell all previous Idol winners.

Number Six: She Stays Strong. Underwood has been known to perform with incredible stamina on stage. Regarding this subject, Underwood has said, “I’ve always been pretty good as far as stamina onstage. Being able to work out and stay physically strong is important… So far, it’s worked for me.”

Number Five: She Has High-Up Admirers. Underwood performed during the tribute to Michael Jackson at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Apparently, she was chosen to perform then because Michael Jackson admired Underwood so much.

Number Four: She Gives Back. In 2009, Underwood established the Checotah Animal, Town, and School Foundation to give back to her community and hometown. The foundation helps with general services that the community may need help with.

Number Three: She Supports Animal Rights. Underwood supports the Humane Society of the United States, and she has even gone so far as to make several public statements for the society.

Number Two: She Has Been Called the Best Singer of All Time. Underwood is well-known for her wide vocal range and incredible talent. Fellow country music singer Brad Paisley had this to say of Underwood: “Carrie is the best singer in any format of music. I’m floored by her.”

Number One: She Can Act, Too! Underwood was on an episode of How I Met Your Mother in 2010. She was so good on the show that her episode was the second highest-rated of the entire season of the show! There truly is nothing Carrie Underwood can’t do.
