We already brought you part one of our list of 15 things you probably did not know about Paula Abdul, and now we’re back with part two! Check out eight more fascinating facts about the singer and musician that you definitely (probably) did not know below. You might be surprised by what you find out!

Number Eight: She Admires Roberta Flack. Abdul has said that she really admires Flack, and in fact, her favorite song is by Flack. Abdul’s favorite song is Roberta Flack’s “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.”

Number Seven: She Has a Funny Laugh. Abdul has such a nice and funny laugh that she was voted funniest laugh in her school! She attended and graduated from Van Nuys Junior High School.

Number Six: She Was a Laker Girl. Before Abdul became famous as a performer and choreographer, she was a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Lakers! She was a Laker girl when she was just a teenager.

Number Five: She Was Discovered by the Jacksons. While Abdul was a cheerleader for the Lakers, the Jackson (yes, THE Jackson) family took notice of her and decided to hire her as a choreographer. Her first job with them was to choreograph the music video for “Torture.”

Number Four: She Has Some Famous Exes. We already mentioned that Abdul was married to Emilio Estevez, but she has some other famous ex-lovers as well. Abdul dated Keanu Reeves for a short period of time, and she also dated Arsenio Hall.

Number Three: She Pees When She Laughs a Lot. Arsenio Hall revealed that Abdul would pee a little bit if he ever said something really funny. He said, “Me and Paula would laugh so much. And I swear, she would not be made that I’m telling you this. Paula would laugh and then pee.”

Number Two: She Pulled a Jane Fonda. When she was 33 years old and had had her foot in the door for quite some time, Abdul decided to go in a different direction and made a fitness video a la Jane Fonda. Her video was called Get Up and Dance.

Number One: She Was Punked by Sacha Baron Cohen. In 2008, Cohen convinced Abdul that she had won an award in Germany, and she agreed to be interviewed by him. However, he pulled off some ridiculous antics and totally pranked her. The scene is featured in Cohen’s film, Bruno.
