We already brought you part one of our list of 15 things you probably did not know about Tiffany, and now we’re back with part two! Check out eight more fascinating facts about the “I Think We’re Alone Now” singer that you definitely (probably) did not know below. You might be surprised by what you find out!
Number Eight: She Covered The Beatles With a Twist. Tiffany recorded a song titled “I Saw Him Standing There” that was meant to be a modified take on The Beatles’ “I Saw Her Standing There.” The song peaked at number seven on the Hot 100.
Number Seven: She Opened for New Kids On The Block. Tiffany toured with New Kids On The Block as their opener in the late 1980s. Interestingly, she later accidentally outed NKOTB member Jonathan Knight as gay in an interview without realizing that he had never officially come out to the public.
Number Six: She Tried to Become an Emancipated Minor. Tiffany’s manager, George Tobin, got into a financial argument with her mother and step-father over who had control of Tiffany’s career and earnings. Because of the fighting, Tiffany ended up attempting to declare herself an emancipated minor. However, the court rejected her attempt, and she ended up declaring her grandmother as her temporary guardian.
Number Five: She Was Judy Jetson. In 1988, Tiffany played the voice of Judy Jetson on the movie titled Jetsons: The Movie. The film ended up being released in 1990 after several delays postponed its release.
Number Four: She Had a Career in Country Music. After Tiffany realized that people’s music tastes had changed as the 1980s transitioned into the 1990s, she tried her hand in a career in singing country music. She moved to Nashville to pursue the career, but she didn’t release any of the music she recorded there until 2011.
Number Three: She Modeled for Playboy. Tiffany modeled completely nude for Playboy magazine in 2002. She wanted to model for the magazine so people would see her as more of an adult than a child star.
Number Two: She Has Been Married Twice. Tiffany married a makeup artist in 1992, and they had one son together. However, they divorced in 2003, and Tiffany remarried businessman Ben George in 2004.
Number One: She Starred Opposite Her 1980s Musical Rival. Tiffany starred in the film Mega Python vs. Gatoroid along with Debbie Gibson, who was another teen idol and rival of Tiffany’s in the 1980s. The movie came out in 2011 to mixed reviews.
