We already brought you part one of our list of 15 things you probably did not know about Anthony Kiedis, and now we’re back with part two! Check out eight more fascinating facts about the singer and frontman of the Red Hot Chili Peppers that you definitely (probably) did not know below. You might be surprised by what you find out!

Number Eight: He Is a Lakers Fan. Along with fellow band member Flea and former band member John Frusciante, Kiedis is a big fan of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Number Seven: He Wrote a Song About His Girlfriend. Kiedis wrote “Desecration Smile” about his girlfriend at the time, Heather Christie. He sings the line “Serenaded by the terror bird,” which references a band named The Terrors. Heather had taken him to see The Terrors at some point.

Number Six: He Also Wrote a Song About a Drug Counselor. In fact, Kiedis wrote “Venice Queen” about Gloria Scott, who was a drug counselor who ended up dying of cancer.

Number Five: He Was Convicted of Indecent Exposure and Sexual Battery. After a gig in 1989 that went down in Virginia, Kiedis ended up being convicted of both sexual battery and indecent exposure.

Number Four: Dani California Is Every Girl. According to Kiedis, he wrote “Dani California” for “every girl I’ve met in my life.” Somehow, that’s romantic.

Number Three: He Met Flea in High School. Flea and Kiedis both attended Fairfax High School in Los Angeles. Though the first interaction the two had involved a confrontation, they soon became friends and would even sit next to each other in driver’s ed class.

Number Two: He Was a Straight A Student. Despite the fact that Kiedis was a heavy drug user throughout high school – he used marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and LSD – he actually received very good grades. He ended up graduating from high school in 1980 with honors. However, he did end up dropping out of college at UCLA because of his drug use.

Number One: He Was the Face of Marc Jacobs. Along with his son Everly Bear, Cher, and Willow Smith, Kiedis was the face of Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2015 campaign.
