Marissa Mayer is one of the most prominent figures in the tech industry. The 40-year-old CEO of Yahoo has become one of the most-watched executives in the world. However, despite the fact that Mayer has spent a considerable amount of time in the spotlight and under the scrutiny of the public eye, there are still some things that many people don’t know. With that in mind, here we present our list of 15 things you probably didn’t know about Marissa Mayer. Check out part one below, and stay tuned for part two, coming soon!

Number Fifteen: She Climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. In 2009, Mayer successfully summited Mount Kilimanjaro. She is also a fan of running marathons. Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa.

Number Fourteen: She Has Pulled More Than 250 All-Nighters. In Mayer’s first five years working at Google, she reportedly pulled at least 250 all-nighters. She revealed this in her feature with New York magazine.

Number Thirteen: She Dated Larry Page. We already mentioned that Mayer pulled a lot of all-nighters while working at Google, but did you know she also dated Google co-founder Larry Page? The two dated in Google’s early days.

Number Twelve: She Interviewed Lady Gaga. In 2011, Mayer was able to interview Lady Gaga as part of the [email protected] series. She appeared quite starstruck by the experience, albeit excited.

Number Eleven: She Studied Ballet. And she’s talented, too! Mayer danced in a Stanford production of The Nutcracker. There really isn’t anything this woman can’t do.

Number Ten: She Wanted to Be a Pediatric Neurosurgeon. When Mayer was 12 years old, she decided she wanted to be a pediatric neurosurgeon. However, when she was at Stanford, she took a computer science class that would change the entire course of her life.

Number Nine: She Can Dance to MC Hammer. We already mentioned that Mayer studied ballet, but did you know she can get down with her bad self as well? Mayer can be seen in a video that features MC Hammer’s “2 Legit 2 Quit.” She danced to the song as part of an endorsement campaign for the mayor of San Francisco, Ed Lee.
