DJ Khaled doesn’t just get one page for his interesting facts. He gets another one. Here is that other one, with plenty more interesting DJ Khaled trivia for you.

Number Eight: He Used to Have a Dubious Nickname. Before he was DJ Khaled, he called himself “Arab Attack.” Luckily he didn’t get famous with this name, and he had the good sense to change it to DJ Khaled after the events of September 11th, 2001.

Number Seven: He Was Born in New Orleans. Many associate DJ Khaled with Florida because of his radio career and his connection with Florida rapper Rick Ross. But Khaled was actually born in New Orleans, just like another famous associate: Lil Wayne.

Number Six: His Parents Were Also Musicians. DJ Khaled was born into a musical family, but his parents played a very different type of music. Being Palestinian-American immigrants, Khaled’s parents played tradition Arab music when he was growing up.

Number Five: Before He Got Involved in Music, He Tried to Breakdance. DJ Khaled used to be younger. He also used to be thinner. It was at this time that he attempted breakdancing. It didn’t work out, but music has definitely been the more lucrative field.

Number Four: He Can’t Handle Spicy Food. He once gave an interview while eating hot wings, but he couldn’t take it. He stopped eating them three wings in.

Number Three: He’s Collaborated With Some Very Talented People. Though he’s generally associated with simple club bangers, DJ Khaled has worked with some of the best rappers out there, including Terror Squad, Fat Joe, Lil Wayne and even Nas.

Number Two: He is a Record Label President. In 2009, he joined the esteemed Def Jam record label as the president of Def Jam south. He came into this position at a pretty good time, as hip hop in the south is as vibrant and influential as it has even been.

Number One: He Loves Marvin Gaye. For someone who presents himself with so much aggression and cockiness, you might not expect to be a lover of the softer tunes. But DJ Khaled loves him some Marvin Gaye. He’s stated that sexual healing is his favorite song of all time.
