Number Twenty: The New Millennium. As the new millennium approached, the whole world welcomed the event with a spectacular array of fireworks on New Year’s Eve, January 1st of the year 2000. Number Nineteen: Finding Her Pride. After being suppressed by the Taliban Sharia law, Afghani women finally found the pride to show their faces. After five years of this law, this brave woman revealed her face in public for the first time in 2001.
Number Eighteen: New York Out. In 2003, lights went out in the iconic city of lights, New York City. The entire area fell into darkness after one of the largest power failures of our time.
Number Seventeen: A Caring Soldier. Before the extraction of the troops in Iraq (in 2011), a crossfire attack tore this child from her family as civilians were forced towards marine forces. U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman, Richard Barnett, is shown comforting the lost child after the incident in 2003.
