Number Eight: Sephora Wants Customers to Try New Things

Number Seven: Every Store Contains Multiple Worlds

Each store has three worlds, to be exact. These worlds are fragrance, color, and skincare. If you aren’t sure where to start, just jump right in because you can get technically get free samples from any one of these worlds.

Number Six: It Offers the ‘Half-Face’ for Customers Who Like Teachable Moments

Customers who are afraid they won’t be able to recreate the look that a Sephora employee gives them can ask for the “half-face.” The “half-face” involves an employee giving a makeover to just half of the face. The customer puts on the other half to test out the products and techniques.

Number Five: It Gives Away Mini Makeovers for Free

Every store offers free 15-minute makeovers that are simple but focused. For example, some of these makeovers include a smoky eye, essential eyeliner application, or blush and bronzer.

Sephora sells some of the most innovative products, so it’s no surprise that they expect a lot from the brands they promote. The company expects at least one new product every three months to keep up with the high consumer demand it faces.

Number Three: Cast Members Can’t Promote Just One Brand

It’s true! If you really want to know what the best product for the job is, ask an employee (aka cast member) for the top five. The cast member will probably list off the products that are most frequently purchased without being returned.

Number Two: It Sells Vegan Makeup

It’s not impossible for vegans to be sexy, that much is true. Sephora sells products by brands like Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, Smashbox, and Urban Decay, which all offer animal-free products.

Number One: Customers Can Give Themselves a Free Manicure in Any Store

The stores’ nail bars are a great way to kill time and make your nails look super fresh. We hope you enjoyed our list of 15 things you didn’t know about Sephora!
