Number Eight: Brooke Shields Began Modeling at 11 Months Old
She was born in New York City. It didn’t take long for her beauty to be recognized, and she starred in an advertising campaign for a soap company while being called “The Most Beautiful Baby in America”.
Number Seven: She Has Two Middle Names
Brooke was born Brooke Christa Shields. During her Communion as a kid, however, the star took on a second middle name. Her full baptismal name is Brooke Christa Camille Shields.
Number Six: She Struggled With Postpartum Depression
She spoke to a magazine and appeared on Oprah to discuss her battle with this problem. Her issues with postpartum depression included thoughts of suicide, and difficulty responding to the needs of her newborn.
Number Five: Tom Cruise Called Her Out
Tom isn’t a big fan of psychiatric drugs. For this reason he condemned Brooke Shields for speaking out about and praising an antidepressant she was using, Paxil. He considered this irresponsible and dangerous.
Number Four: She Was Nearly Terminated
When Brooke’s mom found out she was pregnant, the father’s family tried to bribe her to terminate the pregnancy. Instead of doing this, the mommy-to-be took the bribe money, and gave birth to her baby anyway.

This happened at the Waldorf Astoria in New York. She commented on the situation later, about how she was very confused as to why they were all hired to photograph her.
Number Two: Brooke Didn’t Lose Her Virginity Until Age 22
Surprising considering the sexy roles she has played at such young ages, but true. She claims that she waited so long because she was very uncomfortable and insecure about her body.
Number One: Shields is a Vegan
