Drew Barrymore made her film debut at five years old, and became an international star at seven years old for her performance in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Her alcoholism and drug addictions put her career on hold for quite some time, but she finally managed to get back on the right track. Number Fifteen: She’s Bisexual

During an interview with Contact Music in 2003, Barrymore explained she likes women sexually and she has always considered herself bisexual. She also revealed to have dated several women when she was younger.

Number Fourteen: She Loves Rollercoasters

Drew told Oprah Winfrey she loves big roller coasters that make her stomach drop. Her favorite one so far is the Big Shot, in Las Vegas: “I ride it over and over; it’s exhilarating.”

Number Thirteen: She’s an Author and Photographer

She wrote her first book at 15 years old (though it’s rumored that she relied on a ghostwriter for that one), and recently published Wildflower, a book of anecdotes. She has also been an amateur photographer for a long time—she published book of her photographic work in 2014.

Number Twelve: Spielberg’s Shady Present to Drew Barrymore

Steven Spielberg, who happens to be Barrymore’s Godfather, gave her a quilt for her birthday, along with a note that read “cover yourself up.” The present included a retouched image of her Playboy photoshoot with fake clothes on.

Number Eleven: She Gave Up Vegetarianism

Barrymore is an on-an-off vegetarian. In 2011, she gave up the diet altogether: “I still don’t eat a ton of meat, and I don’t wear a ton of leather, but I just don’t put strict limitations on myself anymore.”

Drew Barrymore and Courtney Love were really close friends at the time Frances Bean was born. However, the two drifted apart from each other and Barrymore lost touch with her granddaughter, which she deeply regrets.

After Barrymore’s second rehab and suicide attempt, at 14 years old, the actress moved in with musician David Crosby (from The Byrds) and his wife, who both used to be drug addicts as well.
