Back in 2012, Barack and Michelle Obama visited Sarah Jessica Parker’s West Village brownstone as part of a fundraiser for the presidential campaign. Meryl Streep and Michael Kors were also invited to the $40,000 per plate event, along with 46 more guests.
Number Six: She Doesn’t Own a Cell Phone
At least, she didn’t until 2013, when she confessed to not having one because she hates “being behind in both phone calls and emails.” She does use a BlackBerry, but for reading and sending emails only.
Number Five: Greece Is Her Favorite Country
She loves Greece, which is her all-time favorite place to go away on vacation. However, she only enjoys it as a summer getaway—she would never, ever, move out of New York City.
Number Four: She Helped Robert Downey Jr. During His Addiction
Parker and Downey Jr. dated for seven years. Robert became a self-destructive alcoholic and drug addict at the time. The actor has stated on several occasions that Sarah was very patient and tried her best to help him out of his addiction until she just couldn’t take it anymore: “She provided me a home and understanding. She tried to help me. She was so miffed when I didn’t get my act together.”
Number Three: Sarah Jessica Parker’s Most Used Excuse
Her children. Whenever she wants to get herself out of a situation she just doesn’t want to be a part of, she uses her children as an excuse: “Leaving events early because of the kids is really excellent.”

Number One: Shopping Used to Make Her Sick
