Blake Lively: 15 Things You Didn't Know (Part 2)

Blake Lively charmed audiences with her charismatic personality and flawless stylistic choices. On top of that, she has proved to be a superb actor with her demanding roles in The Town and Savages. Here are seven more little-known facts about the American actress!

Number Seven: She Doesn’t Like Wearing Heels

Lively only wears high heels when it’s strictly necessary. Why? Because she’s very self-conscious about her tall physique (5 ft 8.5 in.)

Number Six: She Snuck Into Her Brother’s Class

Lively’s older, very shy brother wasn’t having a good time starting first grade at school. He didn’t want to go to class alone, so her mother enrolled baby Blake to accompany him. Lively was three at the time, but looked much older. Their teachers didn’t suspect anything at first, but the lie didn’t last much longer: “After a few weeks, they said they would have to put me in mentally disabled classes because I wasn’t up to pace with the rest of the kids.”

Number Five: She Didn’t Know a Thing About Green Lantern

She played Carol Ferris in 2011’s Green Lantern. When she got the script, she had no idea Green Lantern was a big deal in the comic world. She only took the job because the studio “wasn’t looking for some girl to have her legs greased up and her boobs out.”

Number Four: Blake Lively Is Not a Party Goer

Blake Lively is the total opposite from her Gossip Girl character. In fact, Lively’s ideal after-work plan is watching a movie at home with her husband: “I don’t drink. I don’t do drugs […] I don’t want to go to a club and not wear panties.”

Number Three: Access Hollywood Covered Her Prom

Blake Lively was, somewhat, a celebrity by the time her prom took place. Access Hollywood was granted access to film the whole ceremony, which was broadcasted on TV.

Number Two: She Was One of the Highest-Paid TV Stars

Lively made a lot of money starring in Gossip Girl. And by ‘a lot’ we mean $60,000 per episode. She made the list of the highest paid TV stars in 2011.

Number One: She Wasn’t Interested in Acting, But It Runs in Her Blood

Blake Lively was born to a showbiz family. Her dad is an actor and her mom is a talent agent. Moreover, each one of her four siblings works in the entertainment industry as well. Lively didn’t show much interest in becoming an actress, and wanted to attend Stanford University instead. Her brother Eric convinced her to audition for a few castings, and her acting career took off right away. We hope you enjoyed reading through our article!
