Kirsten Dunst landed her first acting gig at three years old as a model in TV commercials. Her breakthrough role would come in 1994 with Interview with the Vampire. The actress is now immersed on the FX series Fargo (her first ever regular appearance in a TV show) as well as a very secretive, untitled project she is going to be directing soon. Today, we are reviewing some lesser known facts about the actress!

Number Eight: She’s into Interior Design

Duns once said that, if she weren’t an actress, she would definitely be an interior designer. The actress put her two-bedroom SoHo apartment up for rent two years ago, which allowed us to check out her taste in interior design.

Number Seven: She Went through Depression

In 2008, Dunst check herself into rehab at the Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Utah because she suffered from depression. She later revealed she just couldn’t stand the attention and criticism she was constantly being subject to as a Hollywood star. Three years later, she portrayed a severely depressed woman in Lars Von Trier’s Melancholia, which earned her a Best Actress award at Cannes.

Number Six: She Loves In N Out

The actress confessed that dieting was, by far, the worst part of filming Woodshock (which hasn’t been released yet) because she loves eating so much. She missed indulging herself in In-N-Out burgers specifically.

Number Five: She Hated Kissing Brad Pitt

She was only 11 when she kissed Brad Pitt in Interview with the Vampire, which was, in fact, her very first kiss on and off screen. Even though everyone kept congratulating her on how lucky she was, she said she didn’t enjoy a second of it: “I thought it was disgusting. I didn’t kiss anyone else until I was 16, I think. I was a late bloomer.”

Number Four: George Clooney Taught Her to Drive

Kirsten appeared in six episodes of ER in 1996 and 1997. During this period of time, George Clooney taught her how to drive between takes with his studio golf car.

Sofia Coppola directed Kirsten Dunst in The Virgin Suicides when the actress was 17. Dunst graduated from High School shortly after and borrowed Coppola’s John Galliano dress to wear to prom. Sofia had previously worn that dress to the Golden Globes.

Number Two: She’s a Dual Citizen

Kirsten’s dad is from Germany and she has always spent long periods of time in the European country visiting family members. She finally got a dual citizenship in 2011 and has shown interest in filming in Europe in the near future: “It’d be really cool to do a film in German. I’m not quite fluent, but I can get there.”

Number One: Kirsten Dunst’s Cruise Cake

Kirsten and Tom Cruise got very close after starring together in Interview with the Vampire. They are still in touch 22 years later and he even sends her a cake every Christmas! “When the Cruise Cake gets delivered, it’s like, ‘Cruise Cake’s here!’ My friends know what that means.” We hope you enjoyed learning a little bit more about Kirsten Dunst!
