Amy Adams is an American celebrity and actress. Her full name is Amy Lou Adams, and she was born on August 20th, 1974. She has become quite popular, especially over the last 10 years or so. Here is the first half of our list of interesting facts about the star. Come back soon for part two.

Number Fourteen: Amy Adams is Not Originally American

She was actually born in Italy, on a U.S. military base. She is a middle child, with four brothers and two sisters. The family ended up living in Colorado.

Number Thirteen: She Worked at Hooters

In Atlanta Georgia, she took a job as a waitress at the well-known restaurant, for about three weeks. This was right after she turned 18 years old. She didn’t end up keeping the job though after quickly learning that beer and short shorts don’t mix, and decided to pursue other job options before finally deciding on acting.

Number Twelve: It Was Her Idea to Kiss Jennifer Lawrence in ‘American Hustle’

She suggested that this happen¬†in the bathroom scene of the movie. It was because this was the craziest thing she could imagine Jennifer Lawrence’s character doing.

Number Eleven: Catch Me If You Can

Steven Spielberg chose her for a role in this movie, alongside Leonardo. He assumed that this role should have launched her career though she didn’t gain more fame until later on.

Number Ten: She Had Odd Jobs

Before becoming the well-known star we all know her as these days, she worked in retail at the GAP. In addition to this, she worked as a dancer at a variety of theaters and playhouses when she was younger.

Number Nine: Adams Never Went to College

It seems that attending a university was not necessary for the path of success in this actress’s life. In high school, however, she sang in the school choir at Douglas County High School and enjoyed History the most out of any subject at school.
