Beach House Announce New Project and Tour

Beach House revealed they will release their fifth album, Depression Cherry, on August 28th. The duo spoke about their upcoming project in a press release, for which Beach House described Depression Cherry as a “return to simplicity with songs structured around a melody and a few instruments, with live drums playing a far lesser role.” The humble duo insists their newfound success just means they now play to a larger audience. “Larger stages and bigger rooms naturally drove is toward a louder, more aggressive place. A place farther from our natural tendencies,” Beach House explained.

The band says the title Depression Cherry represents a color, place, feeling, and energy. “It describes the place you arrive as you move through the endlessly varied trips of existence,” the duo stated. The 9-track project features the songs “Levitation,” “Sparks,” “Space Song,” “Beyond Love,” “10:37,” “PPP,” “Wildflower,” “Bluebird,” and “Days of Candy.” Along with the announcement of their new album Depression Cherry, Beach House also revealed the dates for their forthcoming worldwide tour.
