The company was founded in 1919 and has had the same mission statement since the beginning. That mission is “To build a fast car, a good car, the best in its class.”

The company has been named one of the top employers in Britain for the past two years! Bentley currently employs approximately 4,000 people all over the world.

Number Thirteen: The Company Has a Charitable History

For the past decade, the company has donated 500,000 pounds to charities. It donates to both local and global charities and causes.

Number Twelve: Its Factory Is Accessible to the Public

It’s true! Interested people can actually take a tour of where Bentleys are made. Their factory located in Crewe, Cheshire, England encompasses all aspects of production. The design, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and marketing all take place there.

Number Eleven: The Factory Houses the U.K.’s Largest Solar Panel Installation

Talk about environmentally conscious! The roof of the factory has a solar panel installation that includes 20,000 panels laid out over 3.45 hectares. The installation generates enough energy to provide power for 1,200 houses for over a year.

Number Ten: Building a Mulsanne Requires 399 Hours

From start to finish, nearly 400 hours are required to construct Bentley’s iconic Mulsanne. In contrast, 104 hours are required to construct a Continental GT.

Number Nine: Every Single Car Is Thoroughly Inspected Before Being Put on the Market
