On Sunday, Beyoncé posted a photo of herself buried in the sand on social media. Some people suggested Beyonce’s sand-covered belly looked rather big. The alleged big belly was called a “baby bump,” and this sparked pregnancy rumors. The megastar did say that she would like to have more children during and interview, “Definitely I would like to have more children. Motherhood has changed everything. You see things a bit differently after you give birth and my biggest job now is to protect my child.”
Beyoncé had a very busy 2014. Beyoncé and Jay-Z‘s On The Run Tour grossed over $109 million in revenue. It was the fifth highest grossing tour of 2014. The tour traveled 21 cities in North America and Europe. On The Run Tour began shortly after Beyoncé concluded The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour. The tour’s start date was April 15, 2013 and concluded on March 27, 2014. Beyonce toured 132 cities, and immediately went back on the road for her next tour. The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour accumulated over $220 million dollars. The singer has spoken about finding a balance between motherhood and her career, “After giving birth there’s a moment of rediscovery when you are making sure you still have goals and take care of yourself as a woman. That was something I struggled with- making sure I was still this strong woman and also making time for my child and balancing the two.”
Time magazine listed Beyoncé among the 100 most influential people in the world in 2013 and 2014. Throughout her career, Beyoncé has sold over seventy-five million records as a solo artist. Late last year, she released two singles online, “7/11” and “Ring Off.” Her song “7/11” went Number 1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop charts, giving the singer her eighth number one song. Besides the pregnancy rumors, there have also been speculation that Beyoncé and Jay-Z are releasing a collaborative album this year. Radio personality DJ Skee claims he has talked to several sources confirming that Beyoncé and Jay-Z will release an album together in 2015. We will have to wait and see if either the pregnancy rumors, album rumors, or both, are true.
