Cam’ron confirmed to Revolt TV that he will release Purple Haze 2 later this year, and Dipset will also drop a new album. “The end of July, the Diplomat album coming out. I start working on Purple Haze 2 for this December,” the rapper told Revolt. Cam’ron also discussed the Dipset tour for this month, as well as his tour plans for this summer. “I’m getting ready to go on tour in March, April for the Diplomats tour. Then in May, I am going overseas by myself. I start shooting Percentage 2 and 3 in June and July, ” the rapper said.

The rapper revealed that his favorite album is Purple Haze because he was able to meet different people from different cultures, while he was recording the album. “My favorite album that I ever recorded would probably be Purple Haze. I was staying in Chicago at that time. I was staying in Ohio,” Cam’ron stated to Revolt. He continued, “I was back in New York, I was all over the place so I got to see a bunch of different cultures. I always travel but I never sat down in one other state for more than two or three weeks.” The rapper concluded, “Just meeting different people from parts of the United States while I was doing that album was pretty dope.”

Cam’ron released Purple Haze in 2004, which was his fourth studio album. The project reached Number 20 on the Billboard 200 chart, after selling over 123,000 copies in its debut week. Purple Haze featured guest appearances from Kanye West, Juelz Santana, Jaheim, Nicole Wary, Twista, Jim Jones, and more. The second single from the album, “Down and Out” featuring Kanye West and Syleena Johnson, peaked at Number 20 on the US Rap Songs chart.

The Diplomats, or commonly known as Dipset, is a rap group consisting of Cam’ron, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, and Freekey Zekey. The group released two albums, Diplomatic Immunity and Diplomatic Immunity 2. Some of Dipset’s biggest hit songs include “Dipset Anthem,” Hey Ma (Remix),” “I Really Mean It,” “Push It,” and “S.A.N.T.A.N.A.” The group has also appeared in, and produced, their own films including Killa Season, Eye of the Eagle, and Damon Dash’s State Property 2.

FDRMX Eyes: India’s The Other People have recently premiered their music video entitled “So Damn Beautiful.” “So Damn Beautiful” addresses the empowerment of women, encouraging them to take a stand and be self-confident.
