Chris Brown Added to 'American Idol' Finale Show

Chris Brown Added to ‘American Idol’ Finale Show

The season finale for American Idol will air on May 13th, and the singing competition show has revealed the performers for their final event of the season. Jamie Foxx, Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Pitbull, and New Kids on the Block were announced as performers for the finale last week. Today, American Idol revealed Chris Brown, the Jacksons, Fall Out Boy, Ricky Martin, Echosmith, Vance Joy, Janelle Monae, Nile Rodgers, Prince Royce, and Michael McDonald will also perform on the finale. The fact that the Jacksons will be a part of the last show of the season, has led some people to believe American Idol will do a special tribute to the late Michael Jackson. The Jacksons (also known as the Jackson 5) consisted of Michael Jackson, Randy, Jackie, Jermaine, and Marlon. Along with the other performers, the American Idol judges, Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr., will also hit the stage for the finale.

Chris Brown recently found himself in some legal trouble, again. The singer was in Las Vegas over the weekend for Fight Week. According to a Las Vegas police report, Brown was accused of physically assaulting another man, and he was named as a suspect in a battery incident that reportedly occurred on Monday morning. Brown and several others were playing basketball at the Palms Casino Resort when the alleged incident occurred. A man told the authorities that he was punched by the singer, after the two got into a verbal dispute on the basketball court.

The male victim was struck by Brown, and when the victim tried to defend himself, he was “hit by another male reportedly with Brown,” the Las Vegas Police Department statement revealed. By Monday afternoon, the singer was given the option to sign a citation for misdemeanor battery or have the case submitted to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution. A few hours after the police report was made public, the charge against Brown was dropped. The man who claimed he was assaulted by the singer decided to drop out of the criminal case, which prompted the Las Vegas Police Department to drop the case. Even though the case was dropped, the alleged victim was treated for his injuries at the Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center yesterday morning.
