Due to severe breathing trouble, Demi Lovato was rushed to California’s Providence Tarzana Medical Center late Tuesday, in what was later confirmed to be a lung infection. Lovato had been feeling under the weather for several days, and Tuesday’s breathing problems were the final straw. A friend of Lovato’s brought her to the ER, and after several tests, Lovato was sent home with antibiotics. While Lovato has yet to comment about the health scare, her fans have used Twitter to show their support, starting the hashtag #GetWellSoonDemi.

This isn’t the first time Lovato fans have been concerned about Lovato’s health. In 2010, Lovato punched a female backup dancer, which prompted an intervention and led Lovato to make the decision to a enter treatment facility, pulling out of the Jonas Brothers Live in Concert tour. While admitted, she was treated for depression, self-harm, and an eating disorder, as well as drug and alcohol addiction. She has since been living in a Los Angeles sober-living facility, where she finds it easiest not to return to her harmful habits.

Lovato, who made her debut as a child in the program Barney & Friends, released her debut album Don’t Forget on September 23, 2008, and it had since been certified gold by the RIAA. Lovato’s third album, Unbroken, not only touched on some of her more personal issues, but garnered her first top ten single, “Skyscraper.” Its second single, “Give Your Heart a Break,” was certified triple platinum. Lovato is currently working on her fifth album, minus her recent illness which has caused her to cancel recording sessions with some “big producers.” She vows, “I will get a Grammy nomination one day. No more f****** around.”

Aside from recording her latest album, Lovato is set to star in the upcoming animated movie, Charming; in which Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty discover they’re all engaged to the same prince. Lovato is no stranger to acting. Not only has she starred in Sonny With a Chance as the title character, but she’s also had roles in Prison Break, As the Bell Rings, the Camp Rock film series and a fake infomercial for Lovato’s new skincare line, Devonne by Demi, alongside her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama. Charming, which is being produced by 3QU Media, will be her big screen debut as well as her first time voice acting.

FDRMX Eyes: The Jepettos and Cup O’Joe have released the music video “Moving Underground.” The music video features clips from the travel documentary, North of the Sun.
