Last night Drake unveiled his newest single to the world. “O to 100/The Catch Up” is the newest contribution from the Canadian rapper. With a minimalist beat at co-produced by Boi-1da, Noah “40″ Shebib and Ninteen85, its sure to whet the appetites of eager rap fans all over.
Though the release date for his new album is unknown, this new single seems to hint at details about a possible timeframe. “We already got spring 2015 poppin’/ PND droppin’, OB droppin’, Majid Jordan droppin’, not to mention me droppin'” It will be a long wait until Spring 2015 for Drake fans, though this may be a bait and switch to surprise Drake fans later down the line.
Drake, legally known as Aubrey Drake Graham, began his career by playing the role of Jimmy Brooks in the TV show Degrassi: The Next Generation. While on the show he began releasing popular rap singles, ultimately signing with Lil’ Wayne‘s label in 2009. Since then Drake has enjoyed much commercial and critical success, most notably by winning the 2013 Best Rap Album Grammy for his Take Care.
