Number Eight: His Grandmother Was a Wrestling Promotor. In fact, his grandmother, Lia Maivia, was one of the very few female promoters, giving her a very special distinction.

Number Seven: He Grew Up All Over the World. Johnson moved a lot in his childhood, and he grew up in California, Hawaii, New Zealand, and even Pennsylvania.

Number Six: He Holds a Special Distinction in the Professional Wrestling Community. In fact, Johnson, is the very first ever third-generation professional wrestler, following both his grandfather and his father in the profession.

Number Five: He Was on Star TrekJohnson played the role of an alien wrestler on the hit tv show. Freaky!

Number Four: He Is Related to His Stunt Double. Johnson’s stunt double in most of his movies is Tanoai Reed. Interestingly, Reed is Johnson’s cousin! Knowing that, it’s not much of a surprise that Reed plays his stunt double.

Number Three: He Almost Missed Out on the Fast and Furious Franchise. Johnson’s role in the franchise was originally written for an older character. However, after a fan suggested that it would be great if Vin Diesel and The Rock were in a film together, the part was actually rewritten for him!

Number Two: He Can Sing. Johnson was actually featured on a track called “It Doesn’t Matter” by Wyclef Jean. The track was released in 2000.

Number One: He Has Several Interesting Phobias. Though Johnson is a big guy, clocking in at around 275 pounds, he is actually afraid of a quite a few things that might surprise the average person. He has admitted that he is afraid of spiders, “miniature” horses, and roller coasters. Though some people might see these fears as weaknesses, it has actually helped to humanize him to other people who are intimidated by him.
